It’s that time of the year when thoughts drift to how you can get one up on your mates with your fantasy football team, but if you want Mo Salah you’re going to have to budget well!

The 2022/23 season is only just over four weeks away and Liverpool players are starting to filter back into pre-season training before the trip to the Far East.

The Reds have a busy summer schedule before their opener at Fulham on August 6, with six fixtures confirmed, including the Community Shield clash with Man City on July 30.

Jurgen Klopp‘s side will be eager to use the time to build on their formidable form from last season, leaving you with plenty of decisions to make for your fantasy team this season.

With values for the Premier League now released, it will be a tough call when attempting to make the best use of the three-player per club rule and ensuring they can fit in your £100 million budget.

And Salah is the one to set you back the most, he is the priciest player and will cost £13 million, a full million ahead of Kevin De Bruyne and Son Heung-min.

It comes after another stunning season from the Egyptian that concluded with an impressive haul of individual awards after a league-high 23 goals and 13 assists.

Alisson, meanwhile, is one of the most expensive goalkeepers alongside Man City‘s Ederson and Tottenham‘s Hugo Lloris, with £5.5 million needed to select the Brazilian.

And if you want assist machine Trent Alexander-Arnold, it is going to cost you a pretty penny as he starts the season as the most expensive defender with a £7.5 million valuation.

But after accruing 208 fantasy points last season, you would be hard-pressed to overlook him.

If you do want to save a few pennies, though, Andy Robertson (£7m) could instead by your choice, and it would not be a bad one either after accumulating 186 points in 2021/22.

Thiago (£5.5m) and Fabio Carvalho (£5.5m) represent good value in midfield, as do Luis Diaz (£8m) and Harvey Elliott (£5m), both who could take a huge leap forward this season.

Darwin Nunez (£9m) and Calvin Ramsay (£4m) are also ones to look out for after signing for the club in the summer and could turn out to be a smart investment.

So, which Reds are to make your final cut?
